Vietnamese Buddhist Community Generosity
The 2019/2020 bushfire season has seen significant funds donated from the Vietnamese Buddhist community across Australia to charities helping people in New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria who have been affected.
In Victoria, the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund has received more than $150,000 from the generous communities of Quang Minh and Quang Duc Pagodas. The community visited GERF in Traralgon on two occasions in February 2020 for cheque presentations by The Venerable Thich Phuoc Tan OAM, Abbot of Quang Minh Pagoda.
